C.H. Robinson Delivers Strong Q1 2025 Profit Growth Despite Revenue Dip

C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. (CHRW), one of the leading third-party logistics providers in the U.S., reported a notable increase in profitability for the first quarter of fiscal 2025. The company posted a net income of $135.3 million, or $1.11 per share, marking a substantial rise from $92.9 million, or $0.78 per share, during the same period last year.

This profit growth was driven largely by reductions in operating and personnel costs, allowing the company to offset a slight decline in revenue. While total sales for the quarter fell to $4 billion from $4.4 billion a year earlier, disciplined cost management helped improve the bottom line.

On an adjusted basis, net income for the quarter was $142.8 million, or $1.17 per share, compared to $102.7 million, or $0.86 per share, in the first quarter of 2024. The company’s focus on operational efficiency and cost controls appears to be paying off even as market conditions remain competitive.

At the close of Wednesday’s trading session, CHRW’s shares finished at $89.22, up just over 1%. In after-hours trading, the stock continued to climb, reaching $91 — a rise of nearly 2%, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s positive momentum.
