F. Paul De Maria Named New CEO of the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX)

The United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) has appointed F. Paul De Maria as its new chief executive officer, following his successful leadership in negotiating a new contract between maritime employers and the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA). The ILA praised De Maria as a “tough negotiator” for his skills in reaching agreements.
De Maria joined USMX in 2012 as vice president of labor relations after managing stevedoring operations for Ports America along the East and Gulf coasts. He was promoted to executive vice president and COO of USMX in 2021.
He will succeed Dave Adam as CEO, bringing extensive experience in labor negotiations and port operations to the role. His appointment marks a significant step forward for the organization as it continues to navigate labor relations and port industry challenges.
