Union Pacific and NCFO Ratify Five-Year Contract

Union Pacific is pleased to confirm that members of the National Conference of Firemen and Oilers (NCFO) have ratified a new five-year collective bargaining agreement.

“I want to extend my appreciation to the NCFO’s leadership and members for their dedication and hard work throughout negotiations, and for approving this agreement,” said Union Pacific CEO Jim Vena. “Our strength as a railroad comes from our ability to collaborate and focus on delivering safe, reliable service to our customers.”

Michael Pistone, the current president of the NCFO, who assumed the role effective January 1st, 2024, also expressed his support, stating, “This agreement reflects our shared commitment to safety, job security, and operational excellence. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Union Pacific to serve our communities and customers.”

This agreement builds on a longstanding relationship that benefits Union Pacific, its employees, and its customers, ensuring stability and continued focus on safety and efficiency.
