Global logistics leader UPS announced on Thursday that it will acquire Canada’s Andlauer Healthcare Group (AHG) for $1.6 billion, a move aimed at strengthening its healthcare logistics capabilities.

AHG operates nine distribution centers and 22 branches across Canada, providing third-party logistics and specialized transportation solutions tailored for the healthcare sector. This acquisition is part of UPS’s broader strategy to deepen its presence in high-growth, critical sectors like healthcare.

Shareholders of AHG will receive CAD $55 per share in cash, representing a 31% premium over the company’s last closing price of CAD $41.96. The deal underscores UPS’s focus on expanding its service offerings in sectors with increasing demand for reliable, specialized logistics solutions.
