NFI, a prominent third-party supply chain solutions provider in North America and partner in the JETSI project, has announced the successful acquisition of all 50 Class 8 battery-electric trucks as part of the initiative. This includes 30 Freightliner eCascadia trucks and 20 Volvo VNR Electric trucks.

In a concerted effort to support its expanded electric fleet, NFI has collaborated with Electrify America and Southern California Edison to establish an electric charging depot at its warehouse facility in Ontario, California. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in NFI’s commitment to electrify its dedicated port drayage services.

Additionally, NFI has inaugurated a state-of-the-art electric truck maintenance shop on-site, further solidifying its position at the forefront of sustainable transportation solutions.
