TRP Appoints Ted Saltzman as VP of Sales, Expanding Into Heavy-Duty Trailer Sector
DALLAS, TX — TRP International, North America’s premier manufacturer of axle components for light- to medium-duty trailers, made a significant announcement today. They’ve appointed Ted Saltzman as their Vice President of Sales, signaling a bold strategic move into the heavy-duty trailer market while maintaining their esteemed service standards for existing clients, including axle and boat trailer manufacturers, open and enclosed trailer makers, agricultural implement manufacturers, specialty vehicle producers, and aftermarket component distributors.
Chris Mileger, the President of TRP, emphasized the importance of Saltzman’s role, stating, “Ted’s presence will invigorate our existing efforts and accelerate our ability to meet our strategic objectives. While we have established ourselves as leaders in the light- to medium-duty axle component space, we also see immense potential in marketing those products to the heavy-duty sector. Ted’s considerable industry experience and commitment to client engagement, paired with our comprehensive and ever-expanding product suite, lays the foundation for a transformative journey ahead.”
Recent global supply chain disruptions have underscored the value of direct engagement for businesses. Mileger noted that in a post-COVID-19 landscape, personal connections with customers are more critical than ever. He believes that Saltzman’s focus on client relationships and TRP’s efforts to have sales professionals readily available and physically present when possible will strengthen the company’s ties with stakeholders.
TRP is renowned for its wide array of hub, drum, brake, spindle, and leaf spring components for light- and medium-duty axles. Their extensive expertise enables them to serve the country’s largest axle OEMs, trailer manufacturers, and the trailer aftermarket distribution network.
Mileger added, “When it comes to light- and medium-duty axle components, our portfolio is all-encompassing and continuously expanding. Our status as a top-tier provider is a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality and innovation.”
Highlighting TRP’s global reach, Mileger revealed that the company is an international entity with three strategic facilities in the U.S. and one in China. This robust infrastructure positions the company to expertly serve its customers, ensuring they receive unparalleled service and product quality. Mileger anticipates that Saltzman’s leadership, combined with TRP’s strength, will solidify the organization’s promising trajectory in the industry, with expansion and deeper customer relations on the horizon.
Before joining TRP, Saltzman held executive sales positions at Hubbard-Hall, a manufacturer of metal finishing chemicals, and Optronics International, a vehicle lighting manufacturer. He holds an Executive MBA from Texas Christian University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Throughout his career, Saltzman has been actively involved in professional organizations such as the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association, the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association, and the Intermodal Association of North America.
“In addition to Ted’s appointment, we have other strategic initiatives that will bring new and unique revenue-generating opportunities to our customer base, especially our distributors,” Mileger stated. “Ted will play a crucial role as we expand our focus from running gear components to the broader category of frame components.”
