In 1923, Harry Kent and Edgar K. Worthington joined forces to address a seemingly impossible challenge: providing assistance to loggers in the Pacific Northwest who were grappling with the arduous task of transporting heavy loads along narrow, rough, and muddy logging roads. They empathized with the loggers by experiencing their challenges firsthand, walking in their muddy boots and navigating the treacherous mountain roads. As a result, they created a truck that was just as tough and reliable as the loggers themselves. From that point onwards, Kenworth has continued to innovate and develop solutions to overcome customers’ most significant transportation obstacles.
